Infrared (IrDA) Communication

When Infrared(IrDA)

communication does not

operate

Arrange M3 and the IrDA ports of other devices. The

distance should be no more than 1m.

Remove obstacles that can possibly block the

communication between M3 and other devices.

Check out if M3 has IrDA OBEX communication protocol

installed. Without it, M3 cannot make a communication.

When a disconnection takes

place while transmitting files

Communication can be interrupted while transmitting a

large size file. In that case, disconnect the

communication first and try the file transfer again.

It is not possible to connect 3 or 4 devices

simultaneously. Connection is only made between two

different devices.

After locating M3 in the right position, click Quick

Connection Icon> Infrared Sending/receiving Menu. Then

a program will find M3 to make a communication by itself

and display relevant data. Click the Connection Menu

then carry out necessary tasks.

Maintenance

M3 power management

Set up M3 to enter an automatic idle mode or to be

turned off when it is not in use.

Adjust the brightness of backlight to save power.

M3 management

Avoid using M3 in a hot and humid environment.

To protect M3 from external impact, use leather

protection case.

Try not o expose M3 in direct sunlight.

Data/file management

While on long-term trip, backup data/files

Do regularly backup data/files.
